Emotional Investments Are Beyond Logic
Richard is one of my best friends, with whom I have spent most of my life and feelings. He is my neighbor. We stay in Orlando. From childhood Richard has been very emotional and attached to family. He wanted to do big for his mother and father. Though he belonged to middle class family he had big dreams and one of them was gifting his parents a house near downtown.
During course of his employment and some extra business, he gathered courage to purchase a house. He went through various Orlando Florida info websites and Florida property listings. However his choice was downtown area. To be sure of all information he also scanned through Orlando resale property list. Luckily, he could figure out one property and it was at location where his parents actually wanted to stay.
But the Orlando buyer agent figured out the emotional angle attached to the particular property. He started playing games and started quoting prices, which were not real ones. In fact, he also quoted exorbitant fees he will be charging in the deal. Richard being emotional chap could not figure out how to control this unwanted price demand.
Richard went ahead with purchase at price, which was almost 1.5 times of value. Though, there is apparent loss but property attaches lot of emotional value and pleasure.
